Upcoming Green Events in San Francisco & the Bay Area

At the risk of entering into the silly LA-San Francisco rivalry and appearing to challenge Cassie Walker’s valuable post about upcoming green events in LA, I feel compelled to post about upcoming green events in San Francisco. (Interesting-sounding green events seem to be sprouting up everywhere, so I encourage others to write in with the many Bay Area events I have surely missed.)

Election Day isn’t solely a green event, but San Francisco voters will be voting on Measure A, and who can resist a measure called the “Emissions Control and Transit Reform Act of 2007“?

That same evening, when public transportation proponents hope to be celebrating Measure A’s victory, green business entrepreneurs and investors will be gathering for the opening of the Green Business Conference, which runs through Friday, when the Green Festival opens for the weekend of November 9th through 11th.

For those not attending all of the evening events at the Green Business Conference, there is the popular Green Drinks gathering on Wednesday, November 7th.

And the following week, there are more choices to be made when on the same evening (Thursday, the 15th), the City of Berkeley celebrates its “sustainability leaders” at its Green Gathering IV, concurrent with The Future of Innovation: Digital & Green, a dinner and panel discussion with business leaders, scientists and investors in Emeryville” (very near Berkeley).

And the next day(November 16th) is the opening of the three-day Energy EASE 07 conference in San Francisco, which brings together “Clean Energy users, manufacturers, investors and such” to discuss issues related to creating an alternative energy market.

Get out there and schmooze for the cause!
